Sound and event production in Nairobi since day one
Backline Concepts Kenya is a sound and event production company based in Nairobi. We rent out audio and backline equipment and produce live sound for concerts, corporate functions, weddings and festivals across Kenya and East Africa. Over ten years we have delivered more than 500 events and built an inventory of over 1,000 units.
We started as a small equipment rental service and grew into full production. That order matters. We learned the gear before we learned the show, so when we specify a system it comes from people who have carried, rigged and repaired the thing they are recommending.
Sound is the part of an event nobody mentions when it works and nobody forgets when it fails. Our job is to be the reason a room hears every word from the back row, and then to stay out of the way.

About Backline Concepts: common questions
We are based in Nairobi, Kenya. We work throughout the country including Nakuru, Naivasha, Mombasa, Diani, Kisumu and Nanyuki, and we travel across East Africa for larger productions.
More than ten years in live event production. In that time we have delivered over 500 events and worked with more than 200 clients across Kenya and the wider region.
Our inventory runs on JBL, QSC and Yamaha. Everything is maintained in house and tested through a full signal path before it leaves the store, rather than checked only when something fails.
Both. You can hire equipment on its own with or without crew, or hand us the entire technical production including planning, rehearsal, on-site engineers and strike.
