Overview

Stage setup and artist support in Nairobi

Artist support and equipment setup is the stage-side service around a performance: building the stage to the artist plot, line checking every input, managing monitor mixes and turning changeovers between acts. Backline Concepts supports touring artists, festivals and church productions across Nairobi and Kenya, and corresponds with artist management directly on riders.

An artist who spends soundcheck hunting for a DI box or arguing about monitor sends walks on stage already tired. Our job is to remove that entirely: the stage is set to the plot, inputs are labelled and line-checked, and monitors are close to where they will end up before the artist steps on.

For multi-act bills we manage the changeover clock, which is usually what decides whether a show runs to time. Risers are pre-set where the stage allows, patch is planned per act, and the crew knows the running order as well as the stage manager does.
